- New Media and Fan Artifacts. Co-Written with Louisa Stein. Contract with McFarland.
- This book examines how technological, textual, and social constraints influence creative and interpretive responses to media texts. We argue that rather than limiting creative potential, restrictions help generate the immense diversity of creative texts that fans share. Drawing on literary and new media theories to study the dynamics of fan textual creativity, we explore how fannish interactions with interface as well as with the traditions of the fandom and the limitations offered by the source text collectively shape online fan textual creativity.
